2025 and the Future

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the long absence and you all deserve an explanation. Dan, Jason and I (Will) have had a lot of changes in our ability to work on Odyssey and despite efforts to continue work on it, came short. Dan had provided time up until needing to step away to continue his education. This commitment was already planned ahead and we were aware that come last September, he wouldn't be able to provide any additional assistance.
The reality is that during our efforts with Odyssey, we made some costly mistakes and were tried to scale up production in a way that ultimately we weren't happy with what we were making, causing us to go back and constantly remake or work on dice repeatedly and therefore wasn't financially sustainable. As the project continued to stretch on, I needed to dip into further savings and Jason needed to commit additional time to work. Despite the above, Jason and I are committed to fulfilling all of the orders and now that we have each settled into some more stable working situations plan to slowly but steadily continue to get both the dice that are already complete, and those that realistically need to be remade out to all of you still waiting.
We know that it has been far past our promised dates and we apologize for our general absence. Even though Odyssey has failed to live up to our own expectations, we still want to send out all of our orders. Again we would like to extend our apologies and hope to get your orders to you, regardless of what it takes.

Hi everyone,
Hope you've all been having a great summer. We wanted to write to update you on the project's status. Since the last update, we've continued shipping orders. Just this morning we were ecstatic to let another 70 backers know their orders are now on the way!
We have been shipping at a slow but steady rate since our last update and are hoping that another big batch of backers will receive their orders soon this week. As some of you may already know if you backed our other Kickstarter project you will already know that this project will be Odyssey Dice's final project.
It is with a heavy heart that our team announces the closure of Odyssey Dice. We have faced immense challenges, including significant errors in our manufacturing process, a doubling of material costs from resin to silicone, rising wage costs, and high inflation in Canada. These factors have brought us to a point where we can no longer sustain our operations.
For those who backed this Kickstarter, we are committed to fulfilling this project. We will cover any remaining costs out of our own pockets to ensure its completion. We are excited to get you these dice as soon as we possibly can.
Our dream was to bring large-scale dice manufacturing to Canada, and it is a heavy moment for us to realize we cannot continue. We deeply appreciate the support and understanding of our community during this difficult time. Thank you for believing in our vision and journeying with us.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to post a quick update on the status of orders. We've been sending additional orders out on a weekly basis at this rate. We have around 300 sets of dice still packaged at our manufacturing facility that we can't send out just due to order requirements (Example: We have all of the tempest packaged but an order may call for 1 set of tempest + 1 set of Withered Rose which we haven't finished touching up yet).
In terms of re-finishing dice we're finishing up Dawn and Bleeding Heart right now and the dice that will be left to re-inspect are
- Fae Magic, Corrupted Garden, Dusk, Celestial and roughly half of Land & Sea
We realized we should have prioritized Celestial since it's tied to so many of the orders so we're going to be starting the re-inspection on that next specifically the D20s to start getting out more of the orders that ordered 2 and 3 sets.

Hi everyone,
I hope you've all been doing well since our last Kickstarter update. I'm pleased to inform you that we are back on track with finishing the dice after the flooding incident at our previous workplace. Additionally, we have begun sending out tracking numbers to some backers for their orders. While we're starting with a small number of orders at a time, we aim to ship out larger quantities as soon as possible.
I realize this update is brief, but there isn't much more to report at this time. Please keep an eye on your inboxes this week as we'll be sending out a handful of orders. Thank you for your patience and support!
